Discovering Your Non-verbal communication.

Updated: Apr 10, 2021

Our morals and character are what define us.

Our character and life choices are the key to nonverbal communication. They exist so that others can visually learn about us, our lifestyle and so on, without us having to explain ourselves. It is important for us to be well aware of what our morals and beliefs are and how we communicate through them. However, understand that not everybody will understand and respect them.

Key - How do I communicate my morals, values and beliefs, without explaining them?

Simple, through your LIFESTYLE.

Your lifestyle is the most visible and easiest way of communication. You have probably heard of "Actions Speak Louder Than Words".

Learn this; Your lifestyle is the greatest nonverbal communication tool you have.

As I mentioned above not everybody will understand your nonverbal communication, regardless if it's clear or not.

How people choose to understand things varies constantly. When we have a clear understanding, a clear vision of ourselves, our standards, our behaviour & values, and we are comfortable with who we are and our lifestyle, we won't be bothered with how people see us or choose to understand us.

Plus, with this mentality, the necessity or urge to always be explaining why you do this or that won't be an issue for you at all, wanna know why? Because you know you and your truth. Guess what, people will always have something to say about you no matter what.

Self awareness is an important key to avoid "whys?".

I'm glad you have gotten this far. But before you continue, ask yourself;

Is my lifestyle communicating my true morals and beliefs?

If yes well done, if not, no problem you'll start today. Start by asking yourself simple questions such as:

  • What are values and morals?

  • Do I have any? What are they?

  • What exactly do they mean to me? Are they important?

  • Are they reflected in my lifestyle?

Start with the questions above. It's a process so go easy on yourself, take your time and you don't have to answer all at once. Do it gradually, I recommend keeping a journal, to track when reflecting on these questions. This will be helpful, do it at any time and as long as you wish. it's a journey so take your time.

Your Lifestyle Is Your Non-Verbal Communication.

Be sure to live for you and to always be authentic. Keep in mind that your lifestyle is a visible reflection of yourself.
