Know yourself| Time Alone.

You’re special, beautiful, you're unique, by just being YOU.

As the title already says “Know yourself”.  Do you know yourself?



The reason why I asked is that most of us do not know who we truly are.

People always have opinions on everything and everyone (that’s not always wrong), we analyse people’s personality so fast that we forget to check on our own personality and find out who we truly are.

All I want to say is that we need to stop analysing other people’s personality and start focusing on ourselves more. We'll only gain more from it. See, we will learn how to manage our own behaviour and actions, hear our inner self, enjoy our company and plus learn things about us that we never thought about.

All these will only help us deal better with the world and the society we live in. Plus it will help us identify our strengths, weakness and allow us to make better decisions for ourselves.


So, to know yourself better you need to spend time alone, I’m not saying that you shouldn't have friends and be alone all the time. What I'm saying that you need and should be able to have the ability to balance between friends, family, work and yourself. Between all these, you need to find the time to recharge yourself.

You need that time to reflect on your life, attitudes, think about your past, your present, your future and identify your goals, ambitions, needs and appreciate yourself. You need time to recharge.

Do not focus too much on people’s opinion about yourself but analyse them, try to understand them. You need to remember that 50% will be positive and the other 50% will be negative, so analyse them and try to figure out why those opinions exist and how they relate to your personality if they do.


Time alone is precious, is a time to have spiritual peace. Most important, God speaks to you when you’re alone.

To start knowing yourself better you need to:

  • Spend time alone; be by yourself as long as you wish.

  • Take a walk, exercise

  • Read a book or the news, just read something interesting for you.

  • OR simply relax do nothing, just focus on you

  • Motivate yourself, journal, write down your thoughts

  • Set goals for your life, your career. Do things that will challenge you.
